The Star Educator Awards from Learning Matters recognise and honour outstanding educators, educational leaders and institutions who have shown exceptional dedication, commitment and passion for education. The awards recognise individuals who have displayed distinction in teaching various academic subjects, used innovative teaching methods to unleash the potential of students including those with diverse and special needs, and nurtured and fostered students' interests, abilities, and talents in academics as well as in physical education.

The awards also spotlight educational leaders who have brought about large-scale impact in education and shown exemplary leadership skills as well as institutions that have made a difference in the lives of teachers and students through their efforts.

Anyone, anywhere can nominate educators and institutions around the world and vote for as many nominees as they want. In each category, the nominee with the most votes wins! So, ensure you spread the word about the nomination through email, Whatsapp, and social media to ensure the nominee(s) get maximum votes.

    1. 1. Nominations are open to educators and educational institutions around the world (no fees involved).
    2. 2. Nominations are open to all who are currently working in or have retired within the last two years from pre-primary, K12, and/or higher-education institutions
    3. 3. Nominees should have a minimum of 2 years' working experience in an educational setting/institution.
    4. 4. Self nominations are allowed (and welcome!)
    5. 5. Nominations can be made by students, parents of students, colleagues or friends of the nominee(s). The better you know the nominee(s), the stronger the nomination(s) will be.
    6. 6. The more evidence submitted to support a nomination(s), the stronger the nomination(s) will be. Evidence includes but is not limited to news or magazine articles about the nominee, written or video testimonials or feedback about the nominee from students, parents, colleagues etc., online articles/social media posts/blog posts about the nominee, and evidence of award nominations/awards won by the nominee. Any and all type of evidence is most welcome.
    7. 7. An individual may be nominated in only one award category. Duplicate or multiple nominations submitted for the same individual will be rejected.
    8. 8. Nominations will be considered valid only when submitted through the nomination form and only when all mandatory fields on the form have been filled.
    9. 9. Incomplete forms will not be considered for evaluation.
    10. 10. Nominations will close at 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 27.
    11. 11. Previous winners of the Star Educator Awards from Learning Matters are not eligible to apply.
    12. 12. Jury's decisions are final and binding.
    13. 13. Responses to the form may be made in any language.
